All nursery school pupils are entitled to free school milk until they transfer to a primary school.

All primary school children who are eligible to receive free school meals are also entitled to free school milk if their school subscribes to the South Tyneside School Milk Scheme.

Milk is available to all other primary school children, the price for the school year 2020/2021 is £9.10 per term.

The milk provided is a 200ml carton of semi-skimmed per day during term time.

The charge for milk is subsidised by the European Community and the Welfare Food Reimbursement Unit.
