Fantastic Four get ‘call up’ to represent Tyne and Wear County!

Four Stanhope children have been selected to represent Tyne and Wear against other Counties in the Sportshall Athletics Regional Finals on March 28th at Temple Park Leisure Centre!

Congratulations to these 4 boys.

What a wonderful achievement. We are very proud of you all.

Regional Selection

Congratulations to Aston and Sophie who have been selected to represent the U13s Regional Squad for Basketball in Sheffield.

They will also represent the North East in the U11s Mini Basketball England Tournament in the coming weeks.

We are so, so proud of you both! Your hard work and dedication has certainly paid off.

Regional Finals Representatives 2019

Congratulations to the 5 children who were selected to represent Tyne and Wear County in the Regional Sportshall Athletics Finals from their outstanding results in the January County Finals where Stanhope were the Runners-Up.

2 members of the team broke Regional Records (Aston & Dominic)!!

The Girls Tyne and Wear team won with a score of 497. Brooke U finished 1st in the Chest Push with a throw of 7.00m and was 3rd in the Standing Triple Jump reaching a distance of 4.77m.

The Boys Tyne and Wear team also won with a score of 504. Charlie B finished 1st in the Chest Push with a throw of 8.00m (the second furthest ever at the event) and was also 6th in the Speed Bounce with 48 repetitions. Aston H was 1st in the Javelin with 17.00m, Marc S finished 2nd in the Vertical Jump with 48cm and Dominic S was 3rd in the Standing Triple Jump with 4.94m and 5th in the Balance Test with 22 seconds.

Top Rate Eight get ‘call up’ to represent South Tyneside!

Eight Stanhope children have been selected to represent South Tyneside against other Districts in the Sportshall Athletics County Finals on Saturday 24th February!

Congratulations to Charlie Bates, Haiden Jones, Josh Henry, Marc Shone, Brooke Urwin, Katie Williamson, Erika Judd and Maddison Fontaine.
What a wonderful achievement after great success already in winning the South Tyneside Finals and finishing 5th in the Tyne and Wear County Finals

Our 8 amazing athletes ran, jumped and threw themselves into the Tyne and Wear Sportshall Athletics Finals, competing for South Tyneside against Newcastle, Sunderland, North Tyneside and Gateshead boroughs on Saturday.

Overall the Boys’ Team finished 3rd and Girls’ Team 4th. Congratulations to our 8 pupils, we are very proud of you all.
