Yesterday our Year 6 Basketball Team competed at the Vertu Motors Arena in Newcastle.

They were tremendous, lifting the title and remaining undefeated all day.

Other school pupils and staff commented on their skills, teamwork and sportsmanship shown throughout the day.

They won 9/9 group games to progress to the Quarter Finals. Here they beat Monkhouse Primary 12-4. In the Semi Finals they defeated a physical Wellfield Middle School 8-6.

Before competing against Gosforth Central Middle School in the Final. Here the team raced into a 6-0 lead within the first minute. By the end of the match they were winners 12-4.
