IMPORTANT INFORMATION – SCHOOL OPENING TIMES

11th September 2020S Office
IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Change to staggered arrival times Year 1- 6

Dear Parents,

Thank you for your patience this week when dropping your children off at the school gates at the beginning of the school day. Many of you have commented that the roads are quieter and safer around the school.

I know that many of you were anxious leaving your children at the gate, especially our younger children, but they have done so well and come into school happy and keen to learn.

From Monday 14th September 2020, I would like to slightly reduce the staggered times, therefore the gates will open at 8.45am and close at 9.05am, this is because most of our children are in school by those times.

We are still working on the collection of children at the end of the day, times will stay the same for the time being, but may need reviewing, please bear with us.

Thank you again for your support in these difficult times.

Mrs L A Martin

Very Important Information

8th September 2020S Office
Dear Parents/Carers

Thank you for your patience and support today. This morning’s staggered arrival worked well and we will continue with the gates opening at 8.40am for the time being.

However, we had a few issues with collections tonight. Please can those parents who have MORE THAN ONE child in school come to the MUGA at 2.50pm. Once the children have been picked up could you please leave the premises as quickly as possible. The remaining children who DO NOT HAVE a brother or sister in school will remain in their classrooms. Then at 3.05pm, those parents who have children in year 1 and 2, will be asked to go to the MUGA to wait for their children. Once they have been collected the year 3 and 4 parents will be invited to stand on the MUGA for their children at 3.10pm and then at 3.20pm year 5 and 6 children will be dismissed.

Please arrive at your designated time as we are following social distancing guidelines. Especially now, the ‘R’ rate in South Tyneside has increased.

Once again, these procedures we have in place may change – please bare with us.

Thank you again for your support.
