Year 4 thoroughly enjoyed creating their pantomime models yesterday. The children used their original design to create a set with flats. We used a range of joining techniques to add the flats, creating a more 3D effect and a range of materials. Thank you for all parents/carers input and support. Keep a look out for our finished products..
As an introduction to E Safety week Reception have read the story of Smartie the Penguin. Smartie has given the children top tips on how to keep themselves safe on-line. Ask the children to tell you when they get home!
Year 5 were visited by the Centre for Life today to take part in DinoMaths activities. We had so much fun! The children looked at Dinosaur timelines, made casts of fossils, learned about the characteristics of different dinosaurs and measured foot spans and strides of different dinos. We did lots of Maths calculating parts of different dinosaurs to scale and went outside to get a feel for the length of a triceratops a staggering 16 metres!! A brilliant day!
Yesterday morning we had a very informative assembly with some special guests from South Tyneside council. They spoke to the children about the affect dropping litter has on the environment. Ask your child to give you an interesting fact about litter!
On Wednesday, year 3 welcomed some special visitors. Mavis and Tracey from ASDA came in to talk to the children about what is in a healthy sandwich. There were lots of different breads and fillings to try. The children all made their own healthy sandwich to take home and even ate on in the class. Thank you to ASDA for their continued support, the children really enjoyed their afternoon.

Thank you
Year 3 took part in a multiskills competition at Temple Park. All of the children tried really hard in lots of different events. Team A came second overall. Well done everyone.
