Year 3 had a brilliant day at the Openzone last week. They spent the day coding making lego robots then using sensors and writing programmes to make them move. They also did an hour of code playing a minecraft adventure game writing codes to pass each challenge.
Year 5 had a fantastic day at Beamish this week. They found out lots of interesting facts about life in 1913.
The children in Year 2 visited Seahouses and Bamburgh tis month and spent the day exploring the two towns and finding out facts about ‘Grace Darling’.
Due to low numbers, Year 5 will complete their Bikeability tomorrow afternoon. The children need their bikes and helmets in school tomorrow only.

Last week the children in Year 3 were learning all about perimeters. The children then created some wonderful, colourful work for their classroom display. Well done Year 3!
On Thursday 19th April 2018, the children at Stanhope Primary School took part in a workshop led by the RNLI.
Children learnt the importance of the RNLI and which procedures to take in an emergency situation. Thank you to the RNLI team.
On Saturday 19th May 2018, Prince Harry and Megan Markle will marry. In order to celebrate the royal event, on FRIDAY 18th MAY 2018 Stanhope Primary School will host a non-uniform day. Children and staff are to wear the colours red, white and blue for this special day.
There will be no charge to take part and we ask that parents/carers do not go to any expense for this occasion. Children are not permitted to have face paints or coloured hair dye/spray.
Last week, for their science project, the children in Year 5 were looking at different ways to make design and create sails.
