Little Gem’s Pop Up Shop will be visiting school on Monday 13th November 2017.
Little Gem’s will host a pop up shop in school. This is the perfect opportunity to purchase any items of your children’s school uniform that requires the school logo. The pop up shop will be located in the School Hub from 3.00pm onwards. Please feel free to browse the clothing – any items that are out of stock can be ordered and delivered to school for your collection.
As you are aware Little Gem’s visit school on a half termly basis, therefore buying now will prevent you from having to wait until next half term to buy your child’s uniform.
Year 5 have had a great week. They really got into the ‘spirit’ of Halloween on Tuesday 31st and came to school dressed in their scariest outfits ready for their Halloween party.
On Thursday 2nd November 27 pupils from KS2 competed at Temple Park Leisure Centre in the South Tyneside Cross Country Finals.
Each child completed in their respective year group events, comprising of between 40 and 50 children from various schools in the borough.
All of our children, performed well, working hard and demonstrating great determination.
Outstanding performers were:
Cassie Howard (Y3) who lead from the very start and was never headed. She stormed to a convincing victory in the opening race of the day. A great talent with so much potential in the future.
Another highlight was Alexa Reid (Y4) who paced her race well to finish in 3rd place, finishing strongly and catching the leaders. She was ably supported by early leader Shari Viney (Y4), who faded to finish a wonderful 4th too.
Other top 10 finishers were Charlie Elliot (Y4) 7th and Ruby Sharp (Y3) 9th.

Before Halloween, children took part in a Halloween drawing competition which was ran by our local Sainsbury’s store on Stanhope Road. All of the children who entered the competition got a pack a sweets and there were bigger prizes for the winning drawings.
All of the entries were on display in the store! A big thank you to the staff at Sainsbury’s for all of the prizes.

On Tuesday 31st October 2017, the children at Stanhope Primary School attended the Annual Halloween Party. The children had fun, taking part in a disco and games. The children won prizes and bought sweets from the tuck shop. There were several stations for Halloween nail painting and Halloween ‘tattoo’s’.
A big thank you from all of the staff at Stanhope Primary School and the volunteers at Hope and Hospitality (South Tyneside Food Bank) for all of your kind donations. At Stanhope Primary School, we try to help the local community as much as we can, and this would not be possible without the help and support from our parents and carers.

Stanhope Primary School has started preparations for the Annual Halloween Disco, which will take place in school on Tuesday 31st October 2017 – 1.15pm – 3.00pm.
There will be a prize for the best dressed boy and girl – winners to be announced during the party.
REMINDER: Children are to come to school at the normal time of 8.55am. They are able to wear non-uniform OR dress up as their favourite Halloween character!
On Thursday 19th October 2017 Year 6 visited Pizza Express in Newcastle. They got the chance to make their very own pizza’s! The children had a brilliant time.. and even got to take their own pizza’s home for tea!
On arrival, they were given a guided tour of the restaurant and then all the fun began. As junior chefs, they tossed their pizzas into the perfect shape. A huge dollop of tomato sauce was added and the base was topped with cubes of mozzarella cheese. While waiting for the pizzas to cook, the children participated in a pizza related quiz. There were 27 happy faces as the children carried their pizzas on the metro on the journey back to school.
A big thank you to Pizza Express Newcastle for inviting the children.
A huge congratulations to our 20 Y4/5/6 pupils had a resounding success at the South Tyneside Sportshall Athletics Finals today. We were crowned overall team CHAMPIONS!
They combined together to compete in jumping, throwing, agility and sprint events culminating in a brilliant overall team GOLD medal.
Words cannot express how proud I am of the children – their hard work and dedication, along with great determination has allowed them to grow and develop as great athletes this year.
It was a wonderful moment for all of the children when we were announced as winners – a much deserved success.
We won 8 out of 12 girls events – tremendous!
