Yesterday, Year 4 had a great time cooking with fair trade products. We bought some fair trade products to make our own hot chocolate drink (some of us added cream) and chocolate chip cookies. We also explored basic needs required in order to survive, including countries from across the world and how these may differ. It brought up a great debate when trying to prioritise.
Sports Relief will take place from Monday 9th – Friday 13th March 2020.
As always, we support the event as much as possible. This year we will be selling Sports Relief Official Wristbands in the school hub. The wristbands will be £1.00 and on sale all week and ALL profits will go to the Sports Relief charity.
Thank you for your continuous support.
Four Stanhope children have been selected to represent Tyne and Wear against other Counties in the Sportshall Athletics Regional Finals on March 28th at Temple Park Leisure Centre!
Congratulations to these 4 boys.
What a wonderful achievement. We are very proud of you all.
I can’t wait to see you perform. Best of luck!
Mr Rogers
Year 4 were introduced to our new History topic of WW2 this week. The children have had a great time researching and finding out facts through a fact hunt.
Today our Netball Team competed at Temple Park in the South Tyneside Finals.
We played really well, beating St. Matthew’s 2-0 and Westoe Crown 2-1, before losing 1-0 to Hebburn Lakes, 5-1 to Lord Blyton and 5-1 to Mortimer.
We finished 4thoverall and have now qualified for the Tyne and Wear County Finals on March 28th.
Well done to the Team!! 🥈😃
Reception have enjoyed learning how to programme the Beebots this week. We entered a set of tecnological instructions and watched them move around the fairytale mats.
This morning the school council went out in the local community and took part in a litter pick. The children were joined by Donna from South Tyneside council who supplied litter pickers and bin bags. The children were surprised by how much litter there was. They filled lots of bags from rubbish in the park and around the school grounds.

School Uniform:
We have noticed an increase in children wearing the incorrect school shoes.
ALL children must wear black shoes with NO colour. This can be a trainer however, it must be completely black with no additional colours.
Thank you
