Anger Awareness Week
We have lots of emotions. At different times, we may be happy, sad, or jealous. Anger is just another way we feel. It’s perfectly OK to be angry at times — in fact, it’s important to get angry sometimes. BUT anger must be released in the right way. Otherwise we will be like a pot of boiling water with the lid left on. If the steam doesn’t escape, the water will finally boil over and blow its top! When that happens, it’s no fun for anyone.
Monday 30th December 2020 will see the beginning of Anger Awareness Week here at Stanhope Primary. The children will be learning that it is OK to feel angry and how to cope and behave when they are feeling angry.
Miss Coils has also found some great resources for our families, carers and parents on the topic of anger. The booklets below have information to support the understanding of why we get angry and there is a self-help guide to coping and controlling our anger.
