Celebrating Children in Need in Reception 🐻
Introducing Stanhope Primary School’s LOOK FOR A BOOK. From Monday, a variety of books will be hidden around school for the children to find. Books will be hidden for children in EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
When they find a book, they may take the book home to read. Once they have finished reading, they will need to return the book to re-hide it somewhere in school for another pupil to find.
Year 1 have been doing lots of activities for Friendship Week.
We have thought about how important kindness is and what makes a good friend.
The children made hearts with hand prints and thoughts of good words like smile, happy, laugh, kind, helpful, share, hugs, care and love.
The children also made friendship bracelets.
🍪🍪 Thank you to all of the children who purchased a biscuit for Friendship Week. 🍪🍪
The biscuits have now sold out, however children are still able to purchase raffle tickets until 3.15pm tomorrow. The raffle will be drawn in Friday’s assembly.
REMINDER – Tomorrow is NORMAL school day and Friday is Children In Need.
On Friday, children can dress in Children In Need clothing OR to celebrate National School Meals Week they can dress as a superhero. 🦸♀️🦸♂️🦹♀️🦹♂️💛💛💛💛
The children will have a super hero lunch at the normal price of £2.20.
Thank you
Friendship Week update!
What a lovely week celebrating friendships and being kind to each other. There have been lots of friendship activities taking place, yoga, mindful music, a cake sale, a raffle and lots more!
We raised a whopping £360.00 this week for our school. Thank you to all who contributed 🌟👏🏻
What a wonderful experience for the children who participated in our ‘Friendship Week’ Yoga session this afternoon 🧘♀️🧘🏻♂️🤸♀️
Namaste 🙏
Yesterday our Super Safety Squad visited the Town Hall to meet with children from other schools to discuss the current topic of Fears and Pressures. A topic which was voted most important by the children of Stanhope Primary and the children throughout South Tyneside. Our Super Safety Squad were busy thinking of different ways to support all children with their fears and pressures. There were some excellent ideas for advice and resources to help our children. Well done to our Super Safety Squad in continuing to help others!
The children in year 1 – 6 were visited by the NSPCC. They attended an assembly which was appropriate for their age to learn about how to keep themselves safe and who they can talk to, should they need to.
