Please note that if you have any parents that pay for meals and milk by cheque, could you please alert them to the fact that they need to complete the cheque in black ink only and use capitals in the text on their cheques.
This is because cheques are read by a scanner and only black ink will show up clearly.
The bank will reject any cheques that cannot be read by a scanner.

On Wednesday 17th October 2018, Stanhope Primary School had it’s first ever RADIO INTERVIEW! Lisa Shaw from BBC Newcastle Radio came into school and interviewed Miss Franks and some of the children. The interview was all about the ‘Happy Newspaper’ and our special Mindful Moment Room! not ONLY were we interviewed, we were selected to take part in ‘Littt’uns’ which is a feature on Lisa’s radio slot!

On Thursday 4th October 2018, Year 6 visited South Shields Fire Station to participate in RAP (Reducing Accidents at Play). During the morning session, the children took part in various activities and workshops held by the following services/businesses/agencies:
During these sessions the children learnt vital information that could prevent accidents and keep them safe in a number of scenarios. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves!

On Tuesday 16th October 2018, Stanhope Primary School will host its annual Harvest Festival. Children will read poems and sing songs all about Harvest time. Stanhope Primary School will again be supporting Living Water/Hope for Hospitality with all donations.
It would be much appreciated if any donations could be brought into school by Tuesday 16th October 2018.

On Friday 29th September 2018 Liam Weatherill from Primary Engineer North East visited school. He spoke about his job and experiences to inspire the children in their future aspirations. He launched a competition which Y1-6 participated in designing an invention to solve any problem they could think of. The winner will be announced soon!
