SCHOOL CLOSURE ON FRIDAY 29 NOVEMBER 2019

25th November 2019S Office
*** SCHOOL WILL BE CLOSED ON FRIDAY 29 NOVEMBER 2019 ***

Due to the very high levels of sickness (the winter vomiting Bug) between both the pupils and the staff I have requested that our Local Authority carry out a thorough deep clean.
The Deep Clean will be carried out on Friday 29th November 2019 therefore the school will be closed. This will ensure that the school environment, surfaces and carpets are thoroughly cleaned and hopefully reduce the risk of further infection to our pupils and staff.

The school will re-open Monday 2nd December 2019.

If your child is feeling unwell and shows symptoms of the Norovirus, we advise that they DO NOT come into school until 48 hours after their symptoms have passed. This is stop further spreading of the infection. Any children who come into school unwell, will be sent home.

I hope you understand the decision I have made and would like to give as much notice as possible to parents/carers who may need to arrange any childcare.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

20th November 2019S Office
** IMPORTANT INFORMATION **

As you are aware, this week is ‘Attend to Achieve Week’, however due to a large unexpected amount of absences due to sickness we have decided to postpone the attendance award.

This is something we did not want to do, however feel it is unfair to the large amount of children who have been struck by the sickness bug.

We are aware that during the run up to Christmas there are a lot of events happening in school and will try our best to arrange a new Attend to Achieve Week before we break up, however this may not be possible.

We hope all of the parents and carers support our decision and we would like to thank you for your continuous support to school all year round.

Thank you

Nursery Road Safety

19th November 2019S Office
Today in nursery we had a visit from the Road Safety Team. John is the lollipop man on Stanhope Road. John helps us cross the road.
John wears a special uniform of neon colours to keep him safe, he can be seen from far away and the reflective strip on his coat can be seen in the dark.
We know we must hold an adults hand when crossing the road and we must wait for the green man.
John is “King of the road” he tells us when it’s safe to cross.
