ITS PARTY DAY!
The Year 6 leavers party will take place tonight in school from 5.00pm – 7.00pm.
The year 6 children are very excited to go home and get suited and booted and dance the night away!
Thank you to Miss Haygarth for organising the party and also a big thank you to all of the parents/carers, staff who have contributed to the Year 6 stalls and bought items in order for the class to fundraise to have their special leavers party and end of year trips!
Yesterday the children in Year 3 and 4 visited South Shields beach. It was a glorious day and the children had so much fun at the beach and in the park. The children as always were exceptionally well behaved and a pleasure to take out of school and represent Stanhope!
If you fancy a family day out during the school holidays, then look no further than ‘The Word’. A range of activities for all!

Year 3 enjoyed a potato salad this morning with their home grown potatoes. The children really enjoyed them and said they were “Delicious!”
We are delighted to announce that we, have achieved the School Games GOLD Mark Award for the 2017/18 academic year.
The School Games Mark is a Government led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.
Thank you to Mr Rogers and all of the children who have contributed to the school sports teams throughout the year! What an achievement!
Year 2 have visited our Forest School. It is such a lovely, calm, beautiful environment. The children did team building games – getting that hoop around the circle without breaking hands was tricky and required others to help!
We used our senses to find out about the world around us. We made a natural palette of colour from our surroundings- this need very careful looking. We hugged a tree and realised that they all feel different. Having a snack and a drink was exciting in the Forest School but of course we cleaned our hands first! We also made tree rubbings. Finally we created our own environmental art!
