Little Gem’s pop up shop will be in school on Monday 21st May 2018 at 9.00am during sports day. The pop up shop will be located outside near the school field. This is an opportunity to purchase any items of your child’s school uniform and there will be sample sizes of the P.E polo shirt for your child to try on in order to complete your order form ready for September.
Last week the children in Year 3 were learning all about perimeters. The children then created some wonderful, colourful work for their classroom display. Well done Year 3!
On Thursday 19th April 2018, the children at Stanhope Primary School took part in a workshop led by the RNLI.
Children learnt the importance of the RNLI and which procedures to take in an emergency situation. Thank you to the RNLI team.
On Saturday 19th May 2018, Prince Harry and Megan Markle will marry. In order to celebrate the royal event, on FRIDAY 18th MAY 2018 Stanhope Primary School will host a non-uniform day. Children and staff are to wear the colours red, white and blue for this special day.
There will be no charge to take part and we ask that parents/carers do not go to any expense for this occasion. Children are not permitted to have face paints or coloured hair dye/spray.
The children who hd 100% attendance during Spring Term received a fun filled afternoon watching ‘Ferdinand’ and enjoyed a cinema goodie bag with nachos, popcorn, chocolate and even fizzy pop! The children had a wonderful time. Well done to all of the children who had 100%! Keep it up!
Last week, for their science project, the children in Year 5 were looking at different ways to make design and create sails.
Once again Stanhope hosted its traditional ‘Eggsters’ competition, where all of the children decorate hard boiled eggs. The children had lots of fun whilst decorating their eggs and the winners were revealed on the last day of term with all winners being presented with a chocolate easter egg! Yummy!

During the final week of the term, Year 6 were extremely busy preparing and baking a variety of sweet treats for their bake sale. Items included: vanilla sponge, chocolate sponge, small iced buns, marble cake, chocolate crispies, rocky road, shortbread bites and many types of cookies.
Year 6 would like to thank everyone who purchased items during their sale. The fundraising event raised an amazing total of £101! This money (along with the money raised during the Christmas performances) will contribute to the Leavers Party and other end of Year 6 trips/treats.

The nursery children at Stanhope Primary School had a wonderful time baking cookies before the Easter holiday’s. The children decorated the cookies into their favourite ‘Trolls’ characters. Well done Nursery!
