After proudly reaching the National Finals today we unfortunately failed to progress to the knockout stages of the competition.

The children were a credit to Stanhope, reaching the finals in itself was a tremendous achievement. They played well, but the run of luck just wasn’t with us today. We came up against some tremendous teams and had a wonderful experience nevertheless.

Their commitment to training for the event has been undoubted.

I am extremely proud to have worked with and coached the team this year, I know we will bounce back stronger and hopefully make it again in 2023.

It’s been a long day after a 5:30am start and as we head home, we all hold our heads high.

A BIG thank you also to Mrs Wardle for her support and Mrs Ali for driving us today.

Congratulations once again team – get a good nights sleep (although from the pictures some of us have nodded off already)
