Teddy loved meeting some more of his friends – this time it was Year 5’s turn. I’m sure you’ll agree he’s fitting right in here with his Stanhope Family too!
TEDDY’S ASSEMBLY
Today Teddy enjoyed his first assembly with us all.
Pupils and staff learned all about Teddy, the things he likes and dislikes, as well as our ‘Be Safe, Be Kind’ Rules.

CONGRATULATIONS! Our wonderful Athletics team WON the South Tyneside Sportshall Athletics Finals today at Temple Park – they were truly outstanding 
.They combined together to compete in jumping, throwing, agility and sprint events culminating in a brilliant overall team GOLD medal.
Words cannot express how proud I am of the children – their hard work and dedication, along with great determination has allowed them to continue to grow and develop as great athletes this year.
It was a wonderful moment for all of the children when we were announced as winners (defending our title for the 5th consecutive year) – a much deserved success.
Thank you to everyone who donated to our Age Concern shoe box appeal. We managed to make up 20 boxes which will be distributed by Age Concern in South Tyneside. Well done to our school council who helped wrap and put the boxes together.
Year 6 met our new starter today – Teddy

This years School Council members have been elected by their classmates.
There is one boy and one girl from each class.
They regularly take part in events such as recycling activities, harvest festival events, fundraising initiatives and many more in a bid to help better the school and local community.
Good luck to them in their roles!
SQUADS ON THE TYNE TAG RUGBY FESTIVAL
Today our Tag Rugby Team participated in a Festival linked to the Rugby League World Cup at Kingston Park, Newcastle.
They played tremendously, winning all 3 of their games. 6-4 vs. Bill Quay, 5-0 vs. Knoplaw and 7-1 vs. Belsay.

SOUTH TYNESIDE DODGEBALL FINALS 2022Yesterday our 17 players had a tremendous success at the South Tyneside Dodgeball Finals at Temple Park. Both our A and B Teams remained undefeated in their respective Groups and progressed to the Finals.
Our A Team were victorious 
and the B Team 2nd 
. Both teams will progress to the Tyne and Wear Finals in December.

Yesterday 31 pupils from KS2 competed at Temple Park Leisure Centre in the South Tyneside Cross Country Finals.
Each child completed in their respective year group events, comprising of between 40 and 70 children from various schools in the borough.
All of our children, performed very well, working hard and demonstrating great determination right until the finishing line of their respective races.
Outstanding performers were:
Bobby (Y6) ran a great race to silver – he worked hard and showed his wonderful all around ability once again.
Lucas (Y4) led from the front and was never headed throughout for a very decisive victory racing to gold.
Ryan (Y3) such a great finish, tussling with the silver medalist, but pushing himself to gold in the final 100m. Such fabulous potential for the future!
Ava (Y3) following in her brothers footsteps she was never headed, leading from the front throughout for a clear gold medal winning run!
Other Top 10 finishers included:
Harry (Y6) 6th, Yanna (Y3) 7th, Lacey (Y5) 5th & Lee-Jay (Y4) 10th.
The Y3 Girls were also team winners of their age category which is fantastic for them as it was, for some of them, their first competition representing Stanhope.
I am so proud of all of you. Every mile counts…
