On Thursday 28th September, Year 6 spent the whole day at the Open Zone @ The Word.
The children enjoyed spending time programming EV3 robots, building and programming Lego Wedo 2.0 as well as creating a World War Two news broadcast in the film studio. It definitely was a hardworking yet fun filled day for all.
This term in Art, Year 6 are studying Vincent Van Gogh. This week their focus was his famous oil on canvas picture ‘The Starry Night’. The children created their own version using a variety of pastels. Their final pieces of artwork are very impressive and are on display in the Year 6 classroom.
Within Science, the Year 6 children are currently studying Light and Sight.
This week the children have carried out an investigation to find out if light travels in straight lines.
