CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS BASKETBALL FINALS 2025
On Friday night our Basketball Team, having won the South Tyneside Finals in April. They competed against the other winning schools from the North East. The team played fantastically to advance from the group stages to play in the final in front of 5000 Newcastle Eagles fans. This took place at half time of the main match. Here they sadly lost 2-0 to Ovingham Middle School. We are extremely proud of the team who have practiced hard for many weeks. Mr Rogers & Miss Corr.
We are incredibly proud of our amazing Cross Country team! 12 pupils from KS2 competed at Temple Park Leisure Centre in the South Tyneside Cross Country Finals.

All of our children, performed very well, working hard and demonstrating great determination right until the finishing line of their respective races.
Outstanding performers were:
Ava(Y6) running a great race, pacing it excellently to stide to a well deserved victory, earning GOLD medal.
Other Top 10 finishers included:
Riley (Y3) 8th, plus lots of top 20 performances too.
We will now continue to work hard; building upon our endurance and resilience in order to get back to winning ways. Every mile counts…
NATIONAL DODGEBALL FINALS 2025
Our talented 9 dodgeballers competed in the National Finals in Stoke. They played tremendously well to reach this stage of the competition for the fourth consecutive time. We were in Group 1 and won 3 of our matches to progress to the knockout stages. In the Quarter Finals we were beaten in extra time. Such hard luck!
Congratulations to the team and all of their time and effort since September when the very first rounds of the event began.
A special thanks to those Year 6 pupils whose last event in the Stanhope green and gold colours was a big one – you will be dearly missed.
