CONGRATULATIONS to our Athletics team who finished a close and respectable 4th in the county finals today at Temple Park.
I am so proud of the pupils, who have put in so many of hours training for this event. They performed well with 3 great relay performances and team spirit demonstrated throughout each and every event.

Our wonderful Choir led by Miss Holyoak have really enjoyed performing at both Wingrove House and The Lodge over the past 2 days. They have been practicing for many weeks and love such opportunities. Tonight they will perform at the rear of school for our friends and family – we hope to see you all there from 3:30pm.
This afternoon our new sport leaders started their leadership journey. They took part in lots of fun activities and are looking forward to lots of leadership opportunities in sport this year. We look forward to seeing how they progress.
CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS BASKETBALL FINALS 2025
On Friday night our Basketball Team, having won the South Tyneside Finals in April. They competed against the other winning schools from the North East. The team played fantastically to advance from the group stages to play in the final in front of 5000 Newcastle Eagles fans. This took place at half time of the main match. Here they sadly lost 2-0 to Ovingham Middle School. We are extremely proud of the team who have practiced hard for many weeks. Mr Rogers & Miss Corr.
We are incredibly proud of our amazing Cross Country team! 12 pupils from KS2 competed at Temple Park Leisure Centre in the South Tyneside Cross Country Finals.
Each child completed in their respective year group events, comprising of between 40 and 70 children from various schools in the borough.
All of our children, performed very well, working hard and demonstrating great determination right until the finishing line of their respective races.
Outstanding performers were:
Ava(Y6) running a great race, pacing it excellently to stide to a well deserved victory, earning GOLD medal.
Other Top 10 finishers included:
Riley (Y3) 8th, plus lots of top 20 performances too.
We will now continue to work hard; building upon our endurance and resilience in order to get back to winning ways.
