SPORTS DAY 2021Today the sun shone brightly on our children competing in our annual School Games Day. They were fantastic and did themselves proud in the 9 events earning points for their House. At the end of the competition only 1 point separated 1st and 2nd place.

FREE SCHOOL MEAL VOUCHERS
Our Local Authority has secured funding to give those in receipt of free school meals a £15.00 voucher over the upcoming half term.
All parents who’s child/ren are eligible will receive the vouchers tomorrow. This is to allow any errors/problems to be corrected before we break up on Friday.
The vouchers will come from a company called evouchers. Please see image below.
Parents will receive their vouchers via email – those who do not have an email address will receive a paper copy. They have been printed and will be sent home with your child tomorrow.

SPORTS DAYUnfortunately we have taken the decision to POSTPONE Sports Day today. The field upon inspection is still too wet to safely compete on.
Apologies for the late notice, however we were trying to be as optimistic as possible.
Children can still attend school in their PE Kit today.
We will now have our Sports Day on MONDAY 7th June 2021. The same arrangements apply and will of course be weather dependent.
So fingers crossed for dry weather and lots of sunshine

Today we have had a wonderful success in WINNING the South Tyneside Tennis Finals, held at Boldon LTA.
Our 8 fantastic tennis players won 27, drew 3 and lost just 2 of their matches. Their hard work, dedication, enthusiasm and determination to succeed has certainly paid off.
They were resounding winners having done superbly in their challenges too, 2nd were Lord Blyton and 3rd Mortimer.
It is a tremendous achievement. Well done to all of the pupils, I am so proud of you all. Congratulations!
In Year 2, the children are currently learning all about the artist Henri Rousseau in their Art lessons. On Friday, the children created their own Rousseau inspired piece of Artwork using key colours and shading.

Over the past 4 weeks Years 5 & 6 have thoroughly enjoyed participating in the Fantastic 4 initiative. They took part in 4 sports: rugby, hockey, boccia and netball. Here are some of our winners…
