This years school council members have been chosen. There is one boy and one girl from each class. They regularly take part in events such as recycling activities, harvest festival events and many more in a bid to help better the school and local community.

Halloween Maths
On Wednesday, Year 4 enjoyed solving a variety of Halloween related problems. They worked well in pairs to understand the questions, select the correct calculations and solve the problems. Miss Haygarth and Mrs Cooper were impressed with their problem solving skills!

This is because cheques are read by a scanner and only black ink will show up clearly.
The bank will reject any cheques that cannot be read by a scanner.

THIS STANHOPE PUPIL CAN…
Today we held our second Job Fair in school, inviting many professionals to share with the pupils their inspirational stories. The pupils were totally captivated and throughly enjoyed the experience. Many thanks to all of the people who came in today to support a very worthwhile initiative.
We next look forward to our first Reading Café for Y5/6 on 16th November, where parents will have the opportunity to work with their children. We can’t wait to see you all.
On Wednesday 17th October 2018, Stanhope Primary School had it’s first ever RADIO INTERVIEW! Lisa Shaw from BBC Newcastle Radio came into school and interviewed Miss Franks and some of the children. The interview was all about the ‘Happy Newspaper’ and our special Mindful Moment Room! not ONLY were we interviewed, we were selected to take part in ‘Littt’uns’ which is a feature on Lisa’s radio slot!

On Sunday morning we had a wet and cold experience, but it was wonderful to see 20 talented runners representing the school, some of which for the very first time. It was highly enjoyable at Bedeswell Park in Jarrow. There were some great performances – it was fantastic to see the children giving their all.
