THIS STANHOPE PUPIL CAN
Today we held our first of 2 Job Fairs in school, inviting many professionals to share with the pupils their inspirational stories. The pupils were totally captivated and throughly enjoyed the experience. Many thanks to all of the people who came in today to support a very worthwhile initiative.
Our next Job Fair will be on October 29th.
On Thursday 4th October 2018, Year 6 visited South Shields Fire Station to participate in RAP (Reducing Accidents at Play). During the morning session, the children took part in various activities and workshops held by the following services/businesses/agencies:
- Tyne and Wear Fire Safety
- RLNI
- Nexus
- Northern Gas
- Northern Powergrid
- School Nurses
- Road Safety
During these sessions the children learnt vital information that could prevent accidents and keep them safe in a number of scenarios. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves!

On Tuesday 16th October 2018, Stanhope Primary School will host its annual Harvest Festival. Children will read poems and sing songs all about Harvest time. Stanhope Primary School will again be supporting Living Water/Hope for Hospitality with all donations.
It would be much appreciated if any donations could be brought into school by Tuesday 16th October 2018.

Please find attached a web link to our October Half Term programme. There is plenty on offer for the kids of all ages. I would be extremely grateful if you could add this to any e-newsletters you will be sending out to parents or attaching the link to any paper materials of the same nature.
The leaflets are out in the Council Leisure facilities and booking is available right now. Numbers are limited on some courses so please act fast!
Your child will come home this afternoon with a parents evening letter. You are able to sign up for a preferable time via your child’s class teacher at home time.
Please book your time as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
On Tuesday 18 September 2018, the children in Year 5 and 6 took park in the Hoops for Health challenge. Plays from Newcastle Eagles came into school to present a workshop in a bid for children to get healthy using exercise. The children had an excellent time and some were awarded with prizes at the end. Well done Year 5 and 6! and thank you to Newcastle Eagles.
