House Competition ’22’ 2

28th June 2022A Rogers

We have now held our second and final House Competitions – in Phase 2 we competed in Rounders, each team playing one another in a round robin style event.

The Phase 2 Quiz included general knowledge, music, logo and staff baby photo rounds. Well done to those that took part. We had some high scoring teams 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Also in the Phase 1 and 2 STEM Challenge the house teams pitted their wits against a big problem- they were stranded on an island and needed to build a shelter against the coming storm. There were all marvellous creations, although some of the teams may have gotten wet.

In Phase 1 pupils enjoyed taking part in the termly house quiz. The picture and general knowledge rounds were the favourites! Well done to all the children taking part!👏🏻🌟🏆🏅👍🏻😀

Phase 1 were really were competitive when completing various relays.👏🏻🌟🏆🏅👍🏻😀

National Dodgeball Finals 2022

24th June 2022A Rogers
🟡🟢National Dodgeball Finals – Fenton Manor Sports Complex, Stoke🟢🟡
After proudly reaching the National Finals today we unfortunately failed to progress to the knockout stages of the competition.
The children were a credit to Stanhope, reaching the finals in itself was a tremendous achievement. They played well, but the run of luck just wasn’t with us today. We came up against some tremendous teams and had a wonderful experience nevertheless.
Their commitment to training for the event has been undoubted.
I am extremely proud to have worked with and coached the team this year, I know we will bounce back stronger and hopefully make it again in 2023.
It’s been a long day after a 5:30am start and as we head home, we all hold our heads high.
A BIG thank you also to Mrs Wardle for her support and Mrs Ali for driving us today. 🚐🚙😃
Congratulations once again team – get a good nights sleep 💤 (although from the pictures some of us have nodded off already) 🙂👍
