This week it was World Science Day. In Year 3 we did our own experiment. We made our own slime and saw how it went from liquid to a solid depending on how hard we pressed it. We got a bit messy!!!
This year, World Science Day 2020 is about the importance of science in our lives.
Today, Year 4 looked at the ‘parts of the plant we eat’. We shared a range of food types, discussing our thoughts and sorting pictures/ words into the correct section. The children found this very interesting and we had some surprising answers!
Diwali celebrations in Reception!
We have made diya lamps and written our names in glitter.
On Tuesday morning, the children in Year 2 were checking calculations. They were working in pairs to solve the calculations involving addition and subtraction. The children used a range of practical resources as well as mental strategies.
Year 5 have been learning the ‘Bus stop method,’ of division today using Numicon as a concrete resource to support their understanding. They really enjoyed the lesson and worked well collaboratively using the Numicon to work out their calculations. Well done Year 5!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN from YEAR 4!
Year have thoroughly enjoyed the day. They began by greeting friends and having a chat!
We took part in crafts, a quiz and enjoyed a Halloween movie, Casper.
A Year 4 pupil is very talented at drawing (all free hand). Great work Mylo!
