South Tyneside Sportshall Athletics Y5/6 Finals 2022

🟡🟢CONGRATULATIONS!🟢🟡 Our wonderful Athletics team WON the South Tyneside Sportshall Athletics Finals today at Temple Park – they were truly outstanding 🏆🥇.
They combined together to compete in jumping, throwing, agility and sprint events culminating in a brilliant overall team GOLD medal.
Words cannot express how proud I am of the children – their hard work and dedication, along with great determination has allowed them to continue to grow and develop as great athletes this year.
It was a wonderful moment for all of the children when we were announced as winners (defending our title for the 5th consecutive year) – a much deserved success.

Quadkids Tyne and Wear Finals 2022

TYNE AND WEAR COUNTY FINALS 2022
Today we had great success in the Tyne and Wear County School Games Finals at Monkton Stadium.
Rhianna and Lucas were crowned County Y3/4 CHAMPIONS for Quadkids Athletics – an amazing achievement. Their talents were clear to see as they both shone brightly in all 4 events.
Our Y3/4 Quadkids team finished 6th scoring 1362 points.
1st – Kings Priory (NT) 1452
2nd – Southridge (NT) 1443
3rd – Ravenswood (Newc) 1413
Our Y5/6 Quadkids team finished 4th, agonisingly close to gaining a medal.
1st Kings Priory (A) (NT) 1768
2nd – Gosforth Central Middle (Newc) 1745
3rd – Kings Priory (B) (NT) 1677
Individually – Bobby was the top scorer with 4th place – 251 points & Ruby G 13th – 191 points.
Well done to all 20 pupils who represented our school.
I’m very proud of each and everyone of you.
Congratulations to all of the medallists!

Quadkids Athletics South Tyneside Finals 2022 Y5/6

Congratulations to our Y5/6 QUADKIDS Athletics Teams who today competed in running, jumping and throwing 🏃🏽‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏆 at Monkton Stadium in the South Tyneside Finals. Over 500 children and around 50 teams lined up today!
The children each earn points for their teams from their individual performances in the 75m sprint, 600m distance, standing long jump and vortex.
We ended up finishing in second place with 1507 points, just 24 points behind winners Lord Blyton. The B Team gallantly finished in 8th place. Our A Team now compete in the Tyne and Wear County Finals next week.
Individually Bobby scored a superb victory with 256 points for the boys, Uzair 9th with 197 points. For the girls Narjes was 5th, Ruby G 7th and Sky S 8th.
Well done to our pupils there were some tremendous results and some wonderful talent on show 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Quadkids South Tyneside Finals 2022 Y3/4

Congratulations to our 20 budding athletes had a great day at the Quadkids Finals, where they ran, jumped and threw there way to scoring many points for the team.
We are the Y3/4 South Tyneside Quadkids Silver medalists 🥈
The A Team finished in 2nd place, just 18 points behind the winners and will now compete in the Tyne and Wear County Finals on June 21st.
Well Done to Rhianna 1st Girl Overall (189 points) and Lucas 1st Boy Overall (218 points). 🥇🥇

South Tyneside Sportshall Athletics Y3/4 Finals 2022

🟢🟡Congratulations to our wonderful 22 Y3/4 Athletes who were resounding winners at the South Tyneside Sportshall Athletics Finals at Temple Park today. 🟡🟢
The team won numerous events. Further details/ results will be found on the schools’ website in due course.
Overall when the final results were announced we were victorious by a massive 32 points. 🏆🥇
Their hard work and practice certainly paid off – they were outstanding. I am so, so proud of each and every one of you.
Also a special mention to our assistant coaches Brody & Damon who were a wonderful support to the younger members of the school sports teams. 😃👏👏👏
We had no less than 9 wins in the Girls’ events and 3 in the Boys’ competition.

Quad Kids Athletics South Tyneside Finals 2021 Y6

YEAR 6 QUADKIDS ATHLETICS COMPETITION 🥇🥈🥉🏆
This morning 16 of our Year 6 children were competing at Monkton Stadium in the South Tyneside Schools QUADKIDS Athletics Finals against 14 other schools.
The children completed 4 events: 75m sprint, Vortex throw, 400m distance and standing long jump.
They earn points for each of their performances and we had some outstanding performances.
Congratulations to our athletics with some tremendous performances and talents.

Tyne and Wear County Sportshall Athletics Finals 2020

Brilliant Bronze for Sportshall Athletics team at the Tyne and Wear County Finals!

Today 25 children from Y3-6 competed at Temple Park Leisure Centre in the Tyne and Wear County Sportshall Athletics Finals.

Having qualified to represent South Tyneside when winning the previous round (for the third year in succession) in November 2019 the children competed fiercely against very talented pupils from across the county.
The children have practiced diligently and with great determination for many months, both in school at break times and lunchtimes, as well as after-school too. Their commitment has been second-to-none.
At the end of the event, when the scores of the pupils within each team were totalled, our Team were announced as BONZE MEDALISTS. Wellfield Middle School were 2nd and Kings crowned CHAMPIONS.

There were some impressive performances, with great potential for future years demonstrated too.
